Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian prayer of forgiveness… and it is so much more. The prayer is simple: I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. I thank you.

This prayer is a request for forgiveness not only from others and from Creator but also from self.

This prayer allows us to take full responsibility for all that we participate in and all that reflects back to us in this life.

I love to use this prayer for the elements, especially the water. It’s also extremely comforting in allowing forgiveness and gratitude in relationships.

Even the reflections in life that seem to have little to do with us, such as a homeless man on the corner. By saying I’m sorry and praying for forgiveness, we are taking personal responsibility for any moments where we have been ungrateful or taken things for granted. We’re taking responsibility for any way that we have contributed to the society that has him sitting hungry on the corner.

We’re offering love and gratitude which are the emotional/energetic vibrations that have the ability to shift the quantum field/reality to create healing. Of course, all that we see is a reflection of our inner realm. Ho’oponopono allows us to begin the healing within.
